Senior Accountant

Job Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting including journal entries and reconciliations
• Support month end and year end close processes and ensure timely reporting
• Maintain and reconcile inventory accounts including cycle counts and adjustments
• Analyze cost of goods sold gross margin and inventory valuation
• Assist in revenue recognition aligned with shipment and delivery processes
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and variance analysis
• Utilize ERP system for accounting functions including GL AP AR inventory and reporting
• Support cash management and perform bank reconciliations
• Assist with tax filings including 1099s and sales tax reconciliations
• Support internal and external audit requirements by preparing schedules
• Identify and support process improvements in accounting and ERP workflows
• Collaborate with operations purchasing and warehouse teams

Qualifications and Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Four to six years of accounting experience preferably in distribution environment
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Experience in inventory accounting and cost accounting
• Experience with ERP systems preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and formulas
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in team environments
