Full job description, $35.01 per hour. 401(k) fully matched up to the first 3%. Health, life, and disability insurance. Monday to Friday daily shift from 7AM to 3PM. Role Summary The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician will perform installations, alterations, additions, and repairs of electrical systems, conductors, low‑voltage instrumentation, and troubleshoot equipment within a manufacturing environment. The work will be performed safely and efficiently in a continuous‑operations plant. Core Responsibilities / Essential Functions Install, troubleshoot, and start‑up process control and electrical systems. Repair electrical equipment, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, and complete projects. Utilize technical documentation (prints, manuals, specifications, etc.) to aid in troubleshooting and keep accurate maintenance records of critical and quality‑related plant equipment. Determine root cause of failures, correct conditions, and prevent reoccurrence. Audit the maintenance program and recommend opportunities for improvement. Repair failures using current procedures and recommend alternative methods of repair. Develop, document, and perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to maximize equipment reliability. Generate out‑of‑tolerance reports for equipment outside of acceptance criteria, when required. Drive continuous improvement at the plant level. Understand and comply with OSHA, NEC, state/provincial, and local codes. Participate in plant training and safety programs. Use the company’s computerized maintenance management system (SAP) to record and access maintenance‑related information. Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment. Perform other duties as required. Acquire new mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, VFD, PLC, and Control Systems certifications and/or knowledge as appropriate and demonstrate proficiency. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of industrial experience and education. Technical training from an accredited technical school or equivalent, with certification in industrial math, industrial electrical, or instrumentation strongly preferred. Knowledge or experience with medium‑voltage electrical, PLCs, and VFDs. Must be able to complete pre‑employment assessments as required. Must pass a background check for education, work history, and criminal record. Must pass a physical and drug screen as applicable by local government. Knowledge of installation, maintenance, and repair of common mechanical systems found in an industrial manufacturing facility that requires instrumentation. Ability to read and understand labels, blueprints, schematics, job‑site maps/directions, instruction manuals, and written instructions accurately. Read, write, and speak in English and work in a team environment. Computer literate with prior experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS); SAP experience a plus. Ability to develop and apply mechanical/problem‑solving skills. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety is a plus. Understanding of OSHA rules. Work Environment Ability to work in loud and odorous environments, different physical conditions, or various weather conditions as required. Must be able to move about in processing areas and lift and carry 50 pounds, stand and walk for sustained periods; climb stairs and ladders; bend; reach; push; pull; and enter tanks. Position Type and Hours Full‑time. Will be willing to work any day of the week, including off‑shift, rotating, or other shifts as applicable. Overtime may be required.
