ED Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night Shift: 3x12 Hours (19:30 - 08:00), with every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ED Registered Nurse to join our dynamic emergency department team for night shifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency nursing with comprehensive knowledge and experience in handling a range of patient diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients experiencing various emergencies, including chest pain, stroke, sepsis, and trauma.
• Actively monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and triage patients appropriately based on acuity levels.
• Utilize the EPIC charting system for accurate documentation and patient tracking.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of emergency nursing experience.
• Travel nursing experience required, though first-time travelers with 5+ years of experience may be considered.
• Active RN license in MD or Compact State.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
• Relevant skills include acute care management, IV administration, and trauma protocols.
