As a dedicated, embedded Operations team within AFO, we are the connective tissue. We track execution, manage the internal operating cadence, and drive cross‑functional coordination across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Engineering. We act as the internal consulting arm: identifying key operating indicators, setting the planning agenda, and driving recommendations directly to senior leadership. If you proactively anticipate questions, arrive at every conversation with data‑backed answers in hand, and thrive in ambiguity, this high‑visibility role will let you leverage your analytical rigor in front of senior AI Labs stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Drive comprehensive business planning cycles (quarterly/annual), seamlessly translating high‑level strategy into actionable operational plans, budgets, and forecasts. Lead strategic, cross‑functional initiatives, blending data modeling with executive stakeholder management to drive flawless end‑to‑end execution. Build scalable reporting infrastructure from scratch that translate raw operational data into clear, defensible narratives, executive dashboards, and business reviews. Lead forward‑planning and scenario modeling, anticipating future capacity, resourcing, and strategic business needs before they become urgent realities. Own the financial and operational mechanics of the business, going beyond tactical variance tracking to connect planning cycles with overarching business strategy. Partner cross‑functionally with Finance, Recruiting, TPM, Data Management, and CSG to align planning inputs, resolve competing priorities, and influence without direct authority. Identify strategic gaps and friction in current planning processes and drive resolution end‑to‑end. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Strategy & Operations, Investment Banking, Management Consulting, or highly strategic FP&A roles. Expert‑level Excel and data modeling skills — you must be comfortable building complex Excel models from scratch, working with ambiguous or incomplete data, and driving to a defensible answer (candidates should expect an analytical modeling assessment). Strong preference for backgrounds in investment banking, top‑tier consulting, or fast‑paced startup environments — the kind of experience that builds sharp analytical instincts, commercial acumen, and comfort with ambiguity under pressure. Highly detail‑oriented and analytical, able to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment without dropping precision. Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills; excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to present confidently to senior leadership. Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and business acumen to know which questions matter most. Proven ability to partner cross‑functionally and drive consensus without direct authority. Comfortable owning ambiguous, cross‑cutting mechanics rather than a narrowly‑scoped function. Proven experience building and scaling operational processes, reporting infrastructure, or planning motions from scratch (0‑to‑1 experience). Desired Skills & Experience Experience in a SaaS or high‑growth enterprise technology environment. Proficiency with BI/analytics tools (Tableau, SQL, or similar) and comfort building lightweight automation or AI‑assisted tooling. Familiarity with Salesforce's internal operating model. The typical base salary range for this position is $123,100 - $186,300 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $147,400 - $202,600 annually.
