Responsibilities As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you help patients get well. You implement occupational therapy programs and activities, follow developed recovery plans, and deliver therapy treatments. You focus on the whole patient, treating them as an individual, and work to restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities and independence. You adapt to the needs of each patient, collaborate with peers, and coordinate referrals to support their care. Your primary goal is to put patients first and ensure the highest quality of service in a caring, compassionate environment. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards. Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.
