VI.SUPERVISOR : SUPERINTENDENT/DISTRICT SYSTEMS MANAGER
VII.QUALIFICATIONS:
Due to the rapid change and advancements of today's technology, experience for the Technical Specialist must be current to within two years of application for this position.
1.Minimum of a Computer Science Associates Degree and the following work experience or an additional 1 - 2 years of computer/network experience subject to the discretion of the Superintendent and/or District Systems Manager.
2.Three years personal computer assembly and hardware repair experience.
3.Three years troubleshooting experience on major PC based operating systems including DOS, Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT or Windows 2000 Professional.
4.Three years troubleshooting experience with MAC operating systems version 7 through 9.
5.Three years installation, configuration and troubleshooting experience with Windows based software applications and solutions.
6.Three years installation, configuration and troubleshooting experience with MAC based software applications and solutions.
7.Three years installation, configuration and troubleshooting experience with Internet Browsers and web-based software applications and solutions.
8.Three years experience in basic system administration of the Novell Netware Network Operating system environment.
9.Two years experience with standards based implementation of network switches and hubs.
10.Two years experience with basic system administration of Windows NT Server or Windows 2000 Server network operating environments.
11.Two years experience in basic email server system administration (user and group setup and configuration).
12.Operational knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
13.Fundamental knowledge of network wiring specifications, compatibility and pin-out configurations.
14.Basic understanding of network topologies and appropriate implementations.
15.Basic knowledge of network routers and Wide-Area-Network operation and solutions.

3.Setup and configuration of all district MacIntosh computers.
4.Troubleshooting, repair, upgrades and maintenance for all district MacIntosh computers.
5.Troubleshooting and problem resolution for all district MacIntosh operating systems and software.
6.Network connectivity and maintenance of all district MacIntosh workstations.
7.Installation, configuration, upgrades, basic system administration and maintenance of all district MacIntosh servers.
8.Setup and configuration of all district Windows computers.
9.Troubleshooting, repair, upgrades and maintenance for all district Windows computer systems.
10.Troubleshooting and problem resolution for all district Windows operating systems and software.
11.Network connectivity and maintenance of all district Windows workstations.
12.Basic user and group administration on district Windows 2000 servers.
13.Basic user and group administration on district Novell Netware servers.
14.Maintenance and upgrades of Warrior Run School District Student Information System (SASI).
15.Installation, connectivity, and maintenance of all brands of Warrior Run School District network attached printers in a cross-platform environment.
16.Installation of network cabling and hardware drops as required.
17.Maintenance, connectivity, and working knowledge of Warrior Run School District digital cameras and camcorders.
18.Creation and maintenance of Ghost Images for Warrior Run School District computer labs and office computer systems.
19.Maintenance and upkeep of the district-wide hardware inventory.
20.Maintenance and updates of the Warrior Run School District Website.
21.Tracking of computer related supplies and parts inventory.
22.Timely interaction with manufacturer's system engineers and support specialists to expedite crisis intervention and problem resolution.
23.Hardware and software support assistance for Teachers, Administrators and Office Personnel.
24.Attendance of technology-related educational courses and workshops as deemed necessary by the Superintendent or District Systems Manager.
25.All other projects and/or tasks requested by the Superintendent or District Systems Manager.
26.Membership on the Milton Chamber Business/Education Committee.
27.Responsible for student development of Web Pages for Milton Chamber Business/Education Committee.
28.Working with subject specific teachers to develop Internet method to communicate student accomplishment.
29.Maintenance and upkeep of cafeteria Point of Sale System.
