Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer (QE)Kranze Technology Solutions is seeking a Quality Engineer (QE) to join our growing Quality team. This QE will be part of a team supporting Supplier Quality, Customer Quality, Quality Systems and Production. The position will work to maintain and improve quality across all facets of KTS's production efforts and quality systems in support of ISO 9001, AS9100, ITAR, customer-specific requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.Responsibilities:Designing, implementing, and maintaining quality control systems to ensure compliance with industry, customer, and regulatory requirements (e.g.: AS, MIL-STD, ISO standards…)Monitoring production and supplier quality, identifying defects, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actionsCoordinates and conducts inspections of material and finished products, applying appropriate quality assurance sampling and testing requirements. Products include electro-mechanical assemblies, aircraft wire harness assemblies, aircraft kit creation, and circuit card assemblyAssists with review of contracts for quality clauses and other quality planning criteriaDevelop and maintain documentation such as quality plans, inspection procedures, and quality reports based upon contractual, design, manufacturing, inspection standard, and regulatory testing requirementsMonitors supplier performance and tabulates supplier scorecard informationWorks with Supply Chain to improve suppliers and administer Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA's)Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address quality issues, process and material improvements, product development, and documentationAnalyze quality metrics such as defect rates, process capability, and customer feedbackMember of the MRB team leading root cause analysis, corrective action processes, and coordinate structured problem-solving methods such as 8DPerforms other duties as assignedEducation & Experience Requirements:Bachelors degree in a related field (Quality, Engineering, Math, Industrial, etc.) or Associates degree with related coursework and/or work historyProven experience of 3+ years as a quality engineer within an aviation, electro-mechanical, fabrication, connector/cable, or defense industryKnowledge of mechanical and electrical measuring and software systemsAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. US Citizenship requiredASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferredExperience with APQP, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong working knowledge and experience with Quality Management Systems (ex.
