Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Prepare patients for MRI procedures and explain the process to ensure comfort and cooperation.
• Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining image quality standards.
• Coordinate with radiologists and physicians to provide accurate diagnostic imaging.
• Administer contrast media and insert IVs when required.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records and imaging results.
• Document procedures accurately within the facility's electronic medical record system.
• Ensure MRI suite cleanliness, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist with additional patient care responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience .
• Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association only) .
• GE Scanner experience is required and must be clearly reflected on the resume.
• Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center .
• Associate Degree in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Radiologic Technology, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and imaging protocols.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current ARRT Certification (MRI or Radiography) preferred.
• Candidates not currently ARRT certified must be willing to obtain certification after hire.
• Previous travel assignment experience preferred.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
