Key Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes physiological manifestations, and intervenes when necessary
• Administers medications as prescribed; initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products
• Assists physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Interacts with patients and families to communicate care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions
• Delegates tasks to support staff and makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills with the ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a Board Approved Program
• Strong ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
• Experience maintaining effective working relationships in a collaborative healthcare environment
