About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year required; preference for 2 years in Med/Surg License: Valid RN License required Certifications: BLS (AHA), pending acceptance with confirmation of willingness to obtain Must-Have: Must be available for the first 2 weeks of assignment for orientation. Must be willing to work with a variety of staff (i.e., RN, LPN, Techs, etc.). Every other weekend availability required. Description: This position includes a staffing ratio of 1:5-6 for nights. In some instances, ratios may flex to 7-8 patients, where the RN will be paired with an LPN for support. RNs may need to float to other Med Surg units, typically one time per week, depending on unit needs. The unit sees a mix of medical patients with specialties including ortho/neurovascular and cardio/pulmonary. Surgical patients include GI, urology, hysterectomies, and mastectomies. Candidates should have experience working in a fast-paced environment with a diverse patient population. The role requires strong teamwork abilities and effective communication skills.
