Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
This is a contract position for a Licensed Vocational Nurse in a medical surgical setting. The role involves providing care to patients on a busy Med Surg unit. Candidates will work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with no call requirements. The unit consists of 30 beds with patient ratios of 1:6. The team includes a variety of staff, including charge nurses, registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, and sitters as needed. Type of equipment includes feeding pumps, IV pumps, lift equipment, wound VAC, PCA, and oxygen. Experience in the care of patients with cardiac, renal transplant, dialysis, pulmonary, GI, and diabetes conditions is preferred. The ideal candidate will have adaptability to a fast-paced environment and be culturally competent in providing diverse care. Teamwork and collaboration are essential for success in this position. Additional preferred skills include ACLS certification and IV skills. Typical procedures performed on the unit include breathing treatments and chronic wound care. The unit offers a friendly and supportive environment with experienced nursing staff. This opportunity allows for professional growth and development within a collaborative team.
