Join Our Team as a Trauma Nurse Lead in the Emergency Department!

Job Description:

- Shifts Available: NIGHTS & WEEKENDS, 19:00-07:00
- Unit Type: General Information Unit with 2 Trauma Bays in the Emergency Department
- Patient Ratios: Dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Advanced Equipment:
- Level 1 rapid infuser
- HOT LINE
- EKG
- GE care scape (ultrasound)
- Hamilton vent
- CAT tourniquet
- Alaris IV pump

- Documentation System: Meditech
- Certifications Required: TNCC, ACLS, BLS, PALS

Why You Should Apply:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in emergency nursing or 1 year in trauma nursing
- Advanced Skills Needed:
- Strong IV background
- Ability to independently run a mass transfusion through a Level 1 rapid infuser
- Rapid critical thinking and effective communication skills
- Team management and collaboration experience
- Strong problem-solving skills

- Essential Procedures:
- IV placement
- Spinal stabilization
- Splinting
- Assisting with chest tube procedure
- Traction
- Central/art line placement
- Emergency bedside procedures

- Dress Code: Required uniform is RED/BLACK SCRUBS (RED TOP, BLACK BOTTOM)

About the Role:
- Be a crucial part of our Trauma Nursing Team during the initial primary and secondary survey period.
