Locums | OB/GYN Hospitalist | Toledo, OH (OH license required) Why This Role
- Defined coverage blocks in July and August
- In-house laborist role at a teaching hospital — OB residents available to first-assist
- Level III nursery; Level 4 L&D
- Strong support: residents, nursing staff, onsite lab and ultrasound Assignment Details
- Coverage dates: - Sun July 26 (24-hour shift, 8a-8a) - Fri July 31 (24-hour shift, 8a-8a) - Sun Aug 2 (24-hour shift, 8a-8a) - Fri Aug 7 (9-hour day shift, 8a-5p) - Sun Aug 9 (24-hour shift, 8a-8a)
- Setting: In-house L&D coverage, 10 L&D beds
- Patient mix: 80% high-risk, 20% low-risk; 10% GYN; ~25% c-section rate
- Teaching facility — OB residents present and able to first-assist; laborists also collaborate with midwives on L&D
- EMR: Epic Clinical Details
- Full-scope OB/GYN hospitalist: - OB: low- and high-risk pregnancy, FHR interpretation, OB ultrasound (Level I and II) - L&D: vaginal delivery, low forceps, c-section decision-making, complicated delivery (c-section, breech, multiples, abruptions), VBAC, 3rd/4th degree laceration repair - GYN: operative/major (ectopic, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs), laparoscopic minor, open surgical, office/minor (IUD, colposcopy, LEEP) Requirements
- Board Certified
- Active OH license
- ACLS, BLS
- Self-query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation Compensation
- Rate negotiable, open to your number
- Malpractice provided
- Travel reimbursed
