Title: VP of Legal Operations

Position Overview

• A role responsible for overseeing the operational framework supporting legal service delivery. This position focuses on improving workflow efficiency, strengthening output quality, and aligning operational execution with broader organizational priorities. The individual will lead initiatives related to process enhancement, interim solution development, technology utilization, and third-party coordination tied to legal support functions.
• This role partners with executive stakeholders to ensure operational alignment, mitigate risk exposure, and maintain compliance standards. It also includes responsibility for workforce planning, leadership development within management layers, and the use of performance indicators to improve overall effectiveness.

Core Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline such as business, legal studies, or similar
• Extensive experience (approximately a decade or more) in legal operations, program leadership, or comparable environments
• Background in financial oversight, including budget management and external partner coordination
• Familiarity with workflow systems, legal tech tools, and efficiency methodologies
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication capabilities
• Experience guiding organizational or operational transformation initiatives

Additional Experience (Preferred)

• Advanced legal education or equivalent professional qualification
• Exposure to complex or large-scale organizational environments
• Professional certifications related to operations, legal management, or project delivery

Key Functions

• Design and implement operational improvements across legal support activities
• Oversee financial planning related to legal services, including vendor and partner engagement
• Collaborate across departments to align legal operations with enterprise objectives
• Establish and maintain systems for project tracking, knowledge sharing, and operational consistency
• Monitor performance data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
• Lead and develop management teams, reinforcing organizational standards and culture
• Represent operational functions in stakeholder discussions, providing insights and addressing performance-related topics
• Partner with leadership to assess staffing models, productivity benchmarks, and resource allocation
• Promote consistent performance management practices aligned with organizational direction
• Support legal professionals by enabling efficient processes that enhance service delivery and output expectations
