Civil Engineering Technician

Location: Bismarck, ND, Fargo, ND or Hawley, MN Lowry Engineering is now accepting applications for a Civil Engineering Technician. Applicant may choose to work out of any of our three office locations (Bismarck, ND, Fargo, ND or Hawley, MN). Job Responsibilities Support project engineer/lead Civil Engineering Technician in the preparation of design documents used for the planning, bidding, and construction of engineering related projects. Creating CAD drawings from oral or written instructions. Organizing the production of plan sets. Laying out details and performing detailed quantity takeoffs. Create site and grading plans. Create surface from survey points using break lines, boundaries, and editing tools. Assist land survey crew. Qualification Requirements Associate’s degree or 2+ years of experience in related field. Desire to learn and grow in the Civil Engineering/Land Surveying industry. Working knowledge of AutoDesk Civil 3D, or AutoCAD related software & Microsoft Office. Must be capable of working independently, learning quickly, and adapting to new challenges. Ability to contribute and work well on a team. Some travel may be required. Ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have a valid driver's license.
