Personal Banker

About This Position Our Personal Bankers are personable, goal‑oriented, and passionate about helping customers improve their financial health. As a Personal Banker at Commerce Bank, you will develop and maintain long‑lasting relationships with customers and internal teams, uncovering financial needs and providing solutions. This retail banking role will be based at our Corinth Square location. Compensation Range Hourly: $20.55 - $25.05 (based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies). Work Schedule Monday – Friday 7:45AM – 5:45PM Saturday 8:45AM – 12:15PM Responsibilities Deliver an excellent customer experience in person and over the phone, ensuring financial needs are met. Actively listen and make appropriate product and service recommendations that match customers’ needs. Educate customers on a variety of retail products and digital solutions to improve financial wellness. Ensure all financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently, while complying with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Establish relationships with internal departments and refer customers to specialists when complex financial needs are identified. Earn additional income through the quarterly incentive program. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Functions Interact with customers in person and over the phone to meet their needs through needs‑based conversations and sales fulfillment. Actively listen, understand, and make recommendations to achieve individual and team sales and service goals. Educate customers on retail products and digital solutions to enhance experience and achieve sales goals. Ensure accurate and efficient completion of transactions while complying with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Identify complex financial needs and refer customers to specialists when appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong sales skills and ability to provide an excellent customer experience. Ability to meet personal and branch sales and customer service expectations. Motivated, organized self‑starter with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Adaptable to a variety of situations with an optimistic outlook aligned with our culture and core values. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Education & Experience High School diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience. Minimum 1+ year of sales or customer service experience. Experience working in an environment with individual and team sales goals preferred. Position may be filled as a Personal Banker I or Personal Banker II, depending on experience and education. Legal Compliance For this position, federal regulations require Commerce Bank to prepare an investigatory consumer report that will disclose credit history.
