Electro Mechanical Technician- 3rd Shift $31-36

Posted: April 16, 2026 Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: 3rd Shift, 11:00pm–7:00am Location: Indianapolis, IN 46268, USA Description Maintenance technician responsible for electrical and mechanical equipment in a production facility. Responsibilities Work in a team-oriented, safety-conscious environment and participate in company safety programs, safety inspections, safety observations, and JSA risk assessments. Read and interpret engineering drawings, specification documentation, and machinery manuals. Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and adjust electrical and mechanical equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment. Conduct basic calibration procedures on equipment. Troubleshoot and correct electronic instrumentation problems with devices such as thermocouples, motor tachometers, temperature controllers, and pressure transducers. Provide immediate response to production equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime. Communicate effectively with co‑workers and other departments. Accurately interpret colors. Repair and troubleshoot machinery used in padded polystyrene tray production, including thermoforming, padding, and extrusion equipment. Operate shop equipment and forklifts safely. Maintain high standards of craftsmanship, proficiency, and material utilization. Conduct food safety and defense self-inspections and report deficiencies. Perform other duties as prescribed. Education & Experience Minimum 2 years of industrial electrical and mechanical experience. Completion of a trades program or a 2‑year associate’s degree preferred. Excellent communication and math skills. Ability to work systematically and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Basic understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code). Basic PLC, HMI, and motor drive knowledge; proficient with electrical multimeters. Preferred Skills and Behaviors Functional Expert – considered a thought leader on a subject.
