DevSecOps Engineer

Salary: $115,000 - 135,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience with a bachelors degree, 3 years with a masters degree, or 1 year with a PhD.
• Experience with containerization and runtimes such as Docker or Podman, and deploying applications in containerized environments.
• Experience with automated testing and software development pipelines, including unit, integration, or acceptance testing.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Atlassian products, Jira, GitHub, GitLab, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Coverity, or Jenkins.
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Strong Linux administration, shell scripting, and production-like operations experience.
• Experience implementing and maintaining automated software testing and analysis in CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with hypervisors and virtualized medium- or high-trust environments.
• Experience with credential and identity management solutions, such as credential managers, service accounts, or Keycloak, for secure non-interactive access.
• Experience developing software in a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment.
• Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and tools such as Gherkin and Cucumber for automated acceptance testing.
• Exposure to Kubernetes or infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible is a plus.
• An active Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support frequent, reliable software delivery.
• Automate infrastructure deployment, scaling, and management with configuration management and scripting tools.
• Implement and manage container technologies, including Docker and Podman, and configure rootless or rootful operation as appropriate.
• Collaborate with development and test teams to improve build, integration, and deployment processes.
• Integrate automated testing, code quality, coverage, and security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor system and pipeline performance and make improvements to reliability and availability.
• Implement and maintain security, compliance, and configuration baselines across environments.
• Use identity and credential management tools, including credential managers and service accounts, to enable secure automation and access control.
• Understand system requirements and design, implement, and maintain DevOps solutions that enable efficient, secure, repeatable software development and delivery.
