Traffic and Programming Assistant/Receptionist

Alpena, MI Morgan Murphy Media seeks a detail-oriented Traffic and Programming Assistant/Receptionist for our Alpena, MI television station. In addition to supporting programming and traffic operations, you will answer phones, greet visitors, and provide excellent customer service. This is a great opportunity to learn about the broadcast media industry and contribute to a team that values community service. Key Responsibilities Prepare and manage daily program logs Schedule commercials, promotions, and public service announcements Ensure correct spot placement per client and regulatory guidelines Coordinate with sales, production, and programming teams Resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records Support data entry, reporting, and special projects Answer phones and direct calls professionally Greet visitors and provide a welcoming front desk presence Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Strong attention to detail and organization Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and meet deadlines Friendly and professional demeanor Preferred Qualifications Experience in broadcast traffic, programming, admin support, or receptionist roles Familiarity with traffic or scheduling software WideOrbit experience preferred Benefits & Perks Supportive work environment, training, medical/dental/vision insurance, EAP, FSA, 401(k), and paid time off for full time employees.
