Through your role of evaluating, treating, and collaborating, you'll directly shape the physical and developmental trajectories of children across Central Alabama. Every session, every goal, every home plan you send home is a ripple effect, and we can't wait to see the impact you'll make. What You'll Do Evaluate and assess physical and developmental abilities, including but not limited to gross motor skills, strength, coordination, balance, gait, and functional mobility for children ages infant through 18, using observation and standardized assessments Develop individualized treatment plans rooted in evaluation findings and specific diagnoses Provide direct therapy services in a clinic-based setting, grounded in evidence-based strategies Collect and record accurate session data to track and monitor patient progress Communicate with families and caregivers, including progress updates and home plans to support carryover Collaborate with therapy team members to deliver cohesive, interdisciplinary care Follow supervision guidelines and maintain clear communication with PTAs (if applicable) Monitor client progress and facilitate appropriate discharge planning Refer clients to additional professionals as clinically indicated Complete documentation in a timely manner: Evaluations & re-evaluations: due within 2 weeks of the evaluation date Goals: entered immediately following evaluation Daily notes: due within 24 hours of the appointment Discharges: due within 2 weeks of the last appointment Tidy, disinfect, and maintain your treatment space and shared clinic areas between sessions Supervise students and/or therapy assistants as applicable Maintain your Alabama PT license and all continuing education requirements Contribute to clinic growth initiatives during clinical development time, including content creation in partnership with our Marketing Manager, Teachers Pay Teachers materials, blog posts, family resources, and more Who You Are You lead with empathy and show up for your patients and their families with patience, understanding, and kindness You are a clear, proactive communicator who keeps families, caregivers, and teammates all on the same page You are highly organized and take pride in documentation that's accurate, timely, and thorough You thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and genuinely enjoy working alongside other disciplines You bring energy and creativity to the treatment room You have a growth mindset and are committed to continuing education and clinical excellence Previous experience in pediatric settings is preferred, but passion and intentionality go a long way here Qualifications Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program Alabama PT license (or eligibility for licensure) Ability to pass a background check, reference check, and drug screening Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills A patient, energetic, and professional demeanor Benefits We Offer 401(k) Enrollment Medical, Dental, Vision, Short-Term Disability, and Life Insurance Professional Liability Insurance Coverage Paid Time Off Bonus Opportunities CEU Stipend and in-house advancement opportunities Dedicated Mentorship Flexible, family-centered work environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
