RN - WCMC Medical Surgical ICU - Full Time - 12 Hour - Nights

Primary Responsibilities Assume responsibility and accountability for planning, delegating, and coordinating the nursing care of a group of patients during a designated time frame using John Muir Medical Center Standards of Care, ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance, and the California Nurse Practice Act (Title 22 and Title 16). Coordinate and provide care through the therapeutic use of self, nursing processes, environment, and technology in partnership with interdisciplinary team members. Maintain nursing process competencies and meet annual competency standards, including NIHSS and Trauma CEUs. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (required). Minimum 6 months experience in medical‑acute care nursing (required). Board‑certified RN in California (required). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required). Cardiac Rhythm Test: must pass at the time of hire; if the position is an internal training program, must complete the Apex Cardiac Rhythm test within 6 months of transfer. National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) competency: achieved by the end of orientation and successfully completed annually (required). Trauma Continuing Education Units (CEUs): 6 annually (required). Stroke care education as determined by department or Stroke Program (required). Work Shift & Compensation Shift: 12:00 – 19:00 and 08:00 (no waiver) – 36 scheduled weekly hours. Hourly pay range: $87.06 – $118.62, adjusted to local market if hired outside the Bay Area.
