CDL Driver

Description Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Berlin, CT Reports To: Store Manager / Dispatch Koopman Lumber is hiring an experienced CDL Truck Driver (Class A or Class B) to deliver building materials to residential and commercial jobsites. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role - not just driving from point A to point B. Drivers are expected to load, unload, handle returns, and work outdoors in all seasons. What You'll Do Safely operate Class A or Class B trucks to deliver lumber and building materials Load and unload your own truck using forklifts, Moffett, and manual labor as required Deliver to active jobsites and load returns from customer locations Secure loads properly and inspect materials for accuracy and condition Communicate with dispatch using mobile apps or tablets Complete required logs, inspections, and delivery paperwork Represent Koopman Lumber professionally with customers and jobsite personnel This role requires physical effort and problem-solving - it's not dock-to-dock driving.
