Global Programme Support Specialist

Job Description Programme Support Associate (PSU) provides support to donor and thematic teams in the Global Programmes Unit in the areas of project support and knowledge management. Position located in Washington D.C., United States. Grade & Salary: G5, Step 1 (USD 6,714.58 Monthly). One Year Fixed Term contract. Responsibilities Update and maintain trackers and filing systems for USG funded awards, reports, and correspondence. Draft reports, tables, briefs, talking points, and other reporting products for GO Washington leadership, the Global Programmes team and HQ. Respond to information requests and inquiries on IOM programming funded by the USG. Support organisation of visits by IOM staff from HQ, regional and country offices. Assist in the review and submission of project proposals, reports, and other deliverables. Provide ad hoc support to donor and thematic teams when required. Collect and compile information on current and prospective USG funding. Carry out general administrative support for the Global Programme Unit. Undertake duty travel as needed. Perform any other duties assigned. Qualifications Education: High‑school diploma with at least five years of relevant professional experience; or Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields with at least three years of relevant professional experience. Experience in programme support, administrative support, or database management. Experience with USG‑funded programmes or donor requirements is an advantage. Experience liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, UN agencies and NGOs. Prior experience with international organizations or a multicultural environment is desirable. Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Good organisational and communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural fast‑paced environment. Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines. Good writing and basic research skills. Languages Fluency in English is required (oral and written). IOM’s official languages are English, French and Spanish.
