Coordinate the overall patient care continuum among the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and room staff. Function as a first assistant during surgical incision, excision, and repair of pathology for procedures with granted privileges. Participate in preoperative assessment and planning for selected surgical patients in collaboration with the healthcare team. Demonstrate subject matter expertise regarding medications, treatment approaches, and patient care standards within the perioperative setting. Support intraoperative patient care and OR services as part of the perioperative team, with clarity on scope of practice per privileges. Requirements Active Registered Nurse license in California. Credentials or privileges to serve as a First Assistant in the operating room for procedures with granted privileges. Graduation from an accredited nursing program. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or as required by facility policy). Ability to work in a hospital operating room environment and participate in preoperative planning and perioperative care.
