Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for critically ill adults in the MICU, including monitoring and responding to rapid changes in status.
- Manage ICU monitoring systems, ventilated patients, and hemodynamic parameters; administer medications and fluids per physician orders.
- Initiate and assist with ICU procedures appropriate to a MICU setting; ensure sterile technique and safety.
- Perform ongoing patient assessments, document findings, and communicate with the multi-disciplinary team for planning and handoffs.
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements; maintain accurate electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with charge nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, and support staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of MICU/Medical ICU nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- CCRN preferred
- No local candidates within 50 miles will be considered
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and meet holiday coverage requirements
- Comfortable performing in a high-acuity ICU environment in a hospital setting
