Fusion Medical Staffing – Travel Physical Therapist Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Anacortes, Washington. As a member of our team, you’ll help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Job Specifications Start date: 08/03/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 per week, 12‑hour days Employment type: Travel Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. Operate and maintain specialized equipment and modalities safely. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques. Maintain a safe treatment environment adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to community or home‑based settings. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Experience as a Physical Therapist; new graduates are welcome. Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. English reading, writing, and communication proficiency. Basic PC skills. Physical abilities: remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50‑100lbs), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal: work effectively with a variety of personnel; maintain a positive attitude. Technical: perform fine manipulation and use department equipment. Mental: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines, manage irregular schedules, maintain concentration.
