The Business Development Representative plays a key role in expanding our agency by building relationships, creating opportunities, and helping customers protect what matters most. Key Responsibilities Develop new relationships through outbound calls, referrals, networking, and community involvement. Conduct customer conversations to understand needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions. Build and manage a consistent pipeline through disciplined follow-up. Learn and apply professional sales, communication, and customer relationship strategies. Take ownership of daily activities, sales goals, and personal performance metrics. Work collaboratively with the agency team while maintaining high ethical and professional standards. Qualifications Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, build trust, and develop lasting relationships. Comfortable initiating conversations with new people. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and willing to be accountable for results. Organized and capable of managing multiple priorities. Coachable and committed to continuous improvement. Previous experience in sales, hospitality, athletics, leadership, customer service, or other roles requiring initiative, competitiveness, and strong interpersonal skills is a plus. Ability to obtain required insurance licenses. Compensation: $22,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year State Farm agents are independent contractors who hire their own employees.
