About the role We’re looking for a Lead Cabling Technician who can take ownership in the field, lead crews, and deliver high‑quality installations across multiple project sites. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys travel, and takes pride in leading work that matters. What you’ll do Lead, coach, and develop a team of cabling technicians in the field Plan and execute structured cabling installations (fiber, copper, and coax) Perform terminations, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting Conduct site walks and assess project requirements Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field leadership Ensure all work meets safety standards, codes, and quality expectations Maintain accurate documentation (as‑builts, test results, progress updates) Manage tools, materials, and inventory on‑site This is a travel‑intensive role supporting projects across multiple locations. We try to get everyone home for the weekend but sometimes projects may require extended stays (weeks) Per diem and travel support provided in accordance with company policy If you prefer staying local every day, this likely isn’t the right fit. Qualifications 6+ years of experience in structured cabling or similar field Experience leading crews or acting as a senior/lead technician Strong knowledge of: Hands‑on experience with tools like fusion splicers, testers, and termination kits Ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently Strong communication and leadership skills Preferred Experience in industrial or large commercial environments Physical Requirements Work on ladders and uneven surfaces Lift up to 35 lbs regularly Stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the day Winning Behaviors and Competencies Real‑time Communication is key to success: We will communicate real‑time to our team members and clients.
