Medical Billing Assistant

to support our Revenue Cycle team by ensuring accurate payment posting, insurance verification, account reconciliation, and collection follow-up. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with medical billing experience who is eager to expand their knowledge through hands-on training and career development opportunities.

What You'll Do Post patient and insurance payments accurately and in a timely manner. Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage information. Reconcile accounts and investigate billing discrepancies. Follow up on outstanding balances and unpaid claims. Assist with accounts receivable and collections activities. Maintain accurate billing records while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Communicate professionally with patients, insurance carriers, and internal staff regarding billing inquiries. Support the Billing Manager and Practice Administrator with daily revenue cycle functions.

What We're Looking For Previous experience in a medical office, medical billing, patient accounts, or healthcare administration preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Familiarity with medical billing software and Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR). Understanding of insurance verification, claims processing, payment posting, and accounts receivable. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
