Sales and Leasing Counselor

Overview Job Location: Houston, TX 77062 Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: Any The Leasing Counselor helps manage leasing efforts for the community, which includes increasing and maintaining full occupancy within the parameters of the Approved Budgets. They must maintain positive relationships with prospective residents, responsible parties, and professionals in the local area. The Leasing Counselor ensures a smooth transition from prospect status to resident status, completed by the appropriate department head or Executive Director. The Leasing Counselor contributes to the organization’s purpose, helping seniors thrive in the community. They build and sustain rental income by supporting the wellbeing of prospects who inquire about the community. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Adheres to and conveys a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of residents and prospects Qualify prospects, participate in meetings and community tours with identified prospects Manage lead base in conjunction with the leasing department head and members of the leasing team Identify, build, and develop an effective network of community and professional sources for potential resident referrals and established relationships that assure continuing opportunities for the community and property Assist with gathering and organization of all required information necessary to complete a successful move-in so that the appropriate department head or Executive Director can complete move in paperwork Participate in special luncheons/tours, special events and promotions for community contact groups when appropriate Contribute to the successful execution of sales goals through active participation in planning and team leasing strategies Maintain an accurate record of sales activity statistics (lead generation efforts) and assist in the preparation of routine and periodic leasing reports in accordance with company policy Provide internal and external sales support to the marketing team Identify and cultivate needs and goals of potential customers, residents and families Manage inventory of marketing materials and adhere to the Approved Budgets Diligently work toward the completion of special projects, requests, and assignments Other duties as assigned Qualifications Working knowledge of leasing skills related to senior housing Excellent communication, social awareness, emotional intelligence, connection, and articulation skills Superior relationship building, networking, and customer service skills Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and manage self to meet fluid deadlines in a customer-focused environment Strong discovery skills Ability to define specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and timely goals and objectives Commitment to continuous improvement of leasing and customer service practices while ensuring high standards of accuracy and excellence Highly professional and dependable Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite Social media skills (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube) a plus Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality Education & Experience College degree preferred At least one year of experience in an assisted living community preferred Core Values Modeled as a 12 Oaks Leader Character: The ability to meet the demands of reality Competence: Operating with Excellence Stewardship: The careful and responsible management of that which has been entrusted to one’s care Servanthood: The role the leader plays while serving others in a physical, emotional, and spiritual aspect while achieving the goals set forth by the business #J-18808-Ljbffr
