Caregiver Job Opening

Now Hiring: Caregiver – 6-Bed RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly)

Living Oak Home Care located in Santa Rosa is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Caregiver to join our team. We are a licensed 6-bed RCFE dedicated to providing quality care in a safe, respectful, and family-oriented environment.

Position Details

• 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)

• Administer and document medications according to RCFE policies

• Prepare and serve meals

• Perform basic housekeeping, including laundry, cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas

• Monitor residents for changes in behavior or health and report concerns promptly

• Redirect and de-escalate residents experiencing behavioral challenges using calm, respectful communication

• Complete daily documentation, medication records, and incident reports as required

• Accompany residents to appointments and activities as assigned

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment

• Follow RCFE regulations, infection control procedures, and resident rights

• Work as part of a team to provide compassionate, respectful, and quality care

Qualifications

• Caregiving or RCFE experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)

• Compassionate, patient, and dependable

• Ability to remain calm and de-escalate difficult situations

• Good communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

• Must pass a background check and meet RCFE employment requirements
