Hospital Manager — Colleyville Animal ClinicThe Hospital Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of Colleyville Animal Clinic while supporting the hospital's commitment to exceptional veterinary medicine, compassionate patient care, and outstanding client service.Working closely with the Chief of Staff, veterinarians, technicians, client-care team, and support staff, the Hospital Manager ensures that the hospital operates efficiently, maintains high standards of patient care, and provides a positive experience for both clients and employees.Colleyville Animal Clinic is a full-service veterinary hospital providing medical, surgical, dental, diagnostic, rehabilitation, boarding, and wellness services for pets in Colleyville and the surrounding communities. The Hospital Manager plays a central role in coordinating these services and maintaining a culture built around compassion, empathy, integrity, teamwork, and accountability.Hospital OperationsOversee the daily operations of the veterinary hospital, including scheduling, staffing, patient flow, inventory, facilities, and administrative functions.Ensure the hospital maintains efficient workflows while preserving a high standard of patient and client care.Coordinate with veterinarians and department leads to address operational challenges and improve hospital performance.Monitor hospital policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming, and safe environment for patients, clients, and employees.Client ExperienceEnsure clients receive compassionate, professional, and timely service throughout their experience with the hospital.Address client concerns and complaints with empathy and appropriate follow-through.Help the team communicate clearly with clients regarding appointments, treatment plans, estimates, medications, follow-ups, and hospital policies.Support client-retention and relationship-building initiatives.Maintain the clinic's reputation for excellent service and personalized veterinary care.Financial & Administrative ManagementMonitor hospital revenue, expenses, payroll, inventory, and other key financial indicators.Help establish and maintain departmental budgets.Monitor inventory levels and control product waste and unnecessary expenses.Review purchasing and vendor relationships to ensure appropriate pricing and availability.Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and resource utilization without compromising patient care.Veterinary Hospital SupportPartner with the Chief of Staff and medical team to support high-quality veterinary medicine.Ensure appropriate staffing and resources are available for appointments, surgeries, dentistry, diagnostics, hospitalization, and other services.Support appropriate follow-up procedures and continuity of care.Help coordinate referrals and specialty-care relationships when necessary.Promote adherence to established medical, safety, and patient-care protocols.Leadership PhilosophyThe ideal Hospital Manager leads by example and understands that a successful veterinary hospital depends on both excellent medicine and excellent people.The manager should be:Compassionate toward patients, clients, and team membersCalm and decisive in stressful situationsOrganized and detail-orientedAn effective communicatorComfortable managing multiple prioritiesFinancially responsibleAccountable and solutions-orientedSupportive of veterinary professionals and their teamsCommitted to continuous improvementPassionate about animal welfare and client serviceSuccess in the RoleSuccess as Hospital Manager will be measured by the hospital's ability to consistently deliver:Excellent patient care + exceptional client service + a strong team culture + efficient operations + sustainable financial performance.The Hospital Manager should create an environment where veterinarians can practice excellent medicine, veterinary professionals can grow their careers, clients feel valued and informed, and every patient receives compassionate care.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have previous management experience in a veterinary hospital, medical practice, healthcare organization, or similarly complex service environment.
