A Substitute Teacher is responsible for maintaining a productive and positive classroom environment in the absence of the regular teacher. They implement lesson plans, supervise students, manage classroom behavior, and ensure a safe and engaging learning experience. Substitute teachers adapt to different grade levels and subject areas while following school policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Follow lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the regular classroom teacher.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a respectful, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Take attendance and monitor student participation.
• Provide instruction, guidance, and assistance to students as needed.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, and transitions when assigned.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Communicate important information regarding student behavior, progress, or classroom activities to the regular teacher and school administration.
• Enforce school rules, policies, and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of assignments completed and classroom activities.
• Collaborate with school staff to support student success.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma 
• Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom settings and grade levels.
