This is a .4 FTE position within a dynamic, provider-led health system that prioritizes work-life balance, professional growth, and excellence in patient care.**Job Summary**The Medical Director provides clinical leadership and oversight for the skilled nursing facility, ensuring high-quality medical care, regulatory compliance, and adherence to best practices in geriatric and post-acute care. This role serves as a liaison between the facility, attending providers, and regulatory bodies, supporting optimal resident outcomes and quality improvement initiatives**Key Responsibilities:*** Provide medical leadership for all clinical programs within the facility.* Review and approve clinical policies and procedures.* Ensure appropriate medical care for residents, including oversight of attending physicians and midlevel providers.* Participate in medical management, including Admission notes, routine follow up care notes, and discharge summary and orders.* Ensure compliance with CMS, DOH, and other regulatory standards.* Participate in surveys and audits; assist with corrective action plans.* Lead quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives.* Monitor clinical indicators such as infection rates, falls, pressure ulcers, and hospital readmissions.## About Cayuga HealthCayuga Health offers patient-centered, comprehensive health services at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca; Schuyler Hospital in Montour Falls; and more than 40 medical offices in the Finger Lakes and Central New York.
