Trimmer Operator CDL

Responsible for operating a Jarraff and other heavy equipment pertaining to power line right of way vegetation management. Job Duties and Responsibilities Perform a variety of tasks involving physical manual labor. Maintain a neat and clean job site to avoid potential hazards. Operate chippers, chainsaws, bucket trucks, and other hand tools as needed. Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Job Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Must have a valid driver’s license. CDL is preferred. Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card. Must be able to pass drug, alcohol, and background checks. Must have good hand eye coordination. Must be able to repair tools and equipment as needed. Able and willing to travel long distances on short notice. Able and willing to work for extended periods in various locations. Able and willing to work in all types of weather environments including inclement weather. Able and willing to work overtime when required. Must be able to enter and exit vehicles numerous times per day. Must be able to wear PPE. Understanding of the utility industry and operations. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent organization and time management skills. High level of professionalism and integrity. Excellent leadership and management skills. Ability to make decisions. Ability to process and analyze data. Working Conditions Work is performed outside in all types of weather environments. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, climb, stoop, stand, and lift for long periods of time. Substantial movements of the hands, wrists, and/or fingers. Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods of time. Must be able to walk, climb, and work from various heights. Must be able to work in uneven and slippery conditions.
