Inspire meaningful change and empower students by supporting their academic journey as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired. This rewarding opportunity offers a full-time, contract-based role for two passionate professionals to serve in on-site, floating positions near Little Elm, TX, with assignments running from now until late May 2027. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as caseloads are yet to be finalized, allowing you to bring your expertise where it’s needed most.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) is required
• Experience working in educational settings, preferably with K-12 students who are visually impaired
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with students, educators, and families
• Ability to travel between school sites as needed
• Commitment to fostering independence and academic success in students with visual impairments

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and resources to students with visual impairments based on individual education plans
• Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusion and accessibility within various classroom environments
• Adapt curriculum materials and use assistive technology to meet students’ individual needs
• Conduct assessments of students’ functional vision and learning needs
• Guide and support other staff on best practices for working with visually impaired students
