The Ideal Candidate

• The ideal candidate has a proven track record of project engineering and civil construction work.
• They thrive in a fast-paced and a team-oriented environment.
• They get excited about construction projects as well as completing assignments on time.
• An individual who will do well in this position is self-oriented, organized, a great communicator, and approachable.
• Comfortable working within a team environment at the project site in Phoenix, AZ.

Key Responsibilities/Skills

• Plan and design major civil projects such as buildings, roads, bridges, dams, water and waste management systems, and structural steel fabrications
• Develop construction specifications and procedures
• Establish, monitor, maintain, and update construction work schedules
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials
• Conduct research and studies on site
• Manage field activities and implement engineering designs
• Diagnose construction or machinery problems
• Resolve malfunctions or other crises when they arise
• Oversee repairs and technical improvements
• Oversee sub-contractors
• Track material costs and quantities entering project sites
• Create reports based on monthly material costs and inventory
• Assist other engineering departments as assigned
• Other duties as assigned
