ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSE

Advanced Practice Registered NurseSalary: $80,000-$100,000Your Specific Responsibilities:Assess, evaluate, and manage patients in accordance with current APRN professional practice standards, evidence-based standards, and medical treatment guidelines, and in consultation with supervising physician when indicated.Documents all observations and actions accurately and in accordance with program guidelines, including prescribed timelines.Collects data pursuant to and evaluates patient complaints, medical histories, and physical findings.Orders diagnostic laboratory tests for evaluation and management of patients and interprets and evaluates lab results.Provides preventive health care services in relation to programmatic guidelines.Evaluates and initiates or modifies the patient treatment plan.Prescribes medication and accurately documents medication in the electronic medical record.Provides referrals for physician or specialty care when indicated.Initiates and manages contraceptive methods for Family Planning patients after evaluation, history, lab tests, physical assessment and examination.Educates and counsels patients regarding use of oral contraceptives, Depo-Provera injections, natural family planning, and long-acting reversible contraceptives.Documents all observations and actions in an accurate and timely manner in the Health Management System (HMS).Actively participates in performance and process improvement initiatives including quarterly chart reviews.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Completion of a nursing graduate program in family practiceCompetence in Microsoft Office and assorted softwareCompetent in the use of equipment and supplies related to the positionAbility to provide Patient/Family Centered CareAbility to plan, organize and coordinate work assignmentsAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with othersQualifications:Minimum: Licensure in the State of Florida as an Advanced Practice Registered NurseCertification as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes, and in accordance with Rule 64B9, Florida Administrative CodeMaster's degree1-year clinical experience as an APRNWillingness to travel to multiple clinic sites in Nassau County as needed for coveragePreferred: 2 or more years' clinical experience as an APRN1 year experience in Women's HealthCurrent CPR certificationWhere You Will Work:Yulee, Callahan, Fernandina Beach – various locations in Nassau County, FLThe Benefits of Working for the State of Florida:Annual and Sick Leave benefits; Nine paid holidays and one Personal Holiday each year; State Group Insurance coverage options, including health, life, dental, vision, and other supplemental insurance options; Retirement plan options, including employer contributions; Flexible Spending Accounts; Tuition waivers; And more!For a more complete list of benefits, including monthly costs, visit
