Performs routine scrub duties according to AORN standards and established policies and procedures of the department of surgery. Assists in the maintenance of a safe environment for all. Keeps current and operating room techniques, procedures, instruments, supplies and equipment; assists with the ongoing Performance improvement Program. Required to work flexible hours and be on call nights, weekends and holidays. Assists with annual performance evaluations and competencies.Education: Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an approved operating room technologist program.Required Experience: One or more years experience as an OR Surgical TechnologistRequired Certification/Licensure/Registration: American Heart Association BLSTECH-SURGICAL (CERT) – Certification recommendedWest Boca Medical Center (WBMC) is part of the Palm Beach Health Network and has been serving southern Palm Beach and northern Broward counties for over 37 years.
