Position Title: Porter/Outdoor Maintenance

Department: Environmental Services

Exempt Status: Non-Exempt

Supervisor: Housekeeping Supervisor

schedule: 6 AM-2 PM-Every Other Weekend

We need you to join our team as a Porter:

Sinai Residences is seeking a compassionate, qualified, and service-driven Porter who is responsible for major floor care projects and trash disposal. Maintains floors and carpets within the Community, Maintains floors and carpets within the Community, Picks up and removes major trash from the Community

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

•Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition.

•Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.

•Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

•Taking care of carpets, tile, VCT, all hard floor surfaces to include stripping and waxing, extracting carpets, tile scrubbing, buffing, spotting carpets.

•Cleaning windows around the whole community, including the two scheduled window cleanings per year.

•Also filling in for vacations for all porters in the community.

•Will be working every third weekend

•Must straighten up cushions and chairs in courtyards.

•Pick up garbage in IL and HC when needed to fill in.

•Stock storage rooms when needed.

•Power washing when needed.

• Work with Plant OPS on outdoor projects when needed.

• Furniture cleaning.

Other Duties:

1. Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition.

3. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds.
