As a Traveling Registered Dental Hygienist, you'll work directly with patients in a mobile healthcare setting, providing essential preventive and therapeutic dental care while helping improve overall health and quality of life. Your work directly impacts patients who often face barriers to accessing traditional dental care. This role is ideal for a self-motivated, compassionate dental professional who enjoys working independently and values building meaningful relationships with patients and caregivers. Travel is an essential part of this position. Hygienists utilize their own vehicle and may occasionally stay overnight while serving facilities throughout their assigned region. Work schedules are established approximately 30-45 days in advance to provide consistency and planning flexibility. Full-time Overnight travel may be required As a Traveling Registered Dental Hygienist, You Will Provide preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene services to residents in long-term care facilities Ensure patient comfort and create a positive care experience Apply topical fluorides, antibacterial agents, and other preventive materials as appropriate Take dental radiographs in accordance with clinical guidelines Conduct oral health screenings and ongoing monitoring Educate patients and caregivers on oral hygiene, oral health, and nutrition Encourage and support patients in maintaining healthy oral care habits Utilize a variety of dental instruments and equipment safely and effectively Follow infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols Maintain treatment areas and equipment according to regulatory standards Report equipment issues and collaborate with team members to ensure uninterrupted patient care Follow company policies, procedures, and clinical standards Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice Strong understanding of dental hygiene principles and procedures Knowledge of dental terminology, radiography, and infection control practices Computer proficiency and willingness to learn new technology Preferred Qualities Passion for serving geriatric and medically complex populations Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care Ability to build trust and rapport with patients, caregivers, and facility staff Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and respectful patient care Paid Company Holidays Health Insurance Reimbursement Hotel accommodations covered according to company policy Fuel and meal coverage according to company policy Ongoing training and clinical support Opportunity for professional growth within a rapidly expanding healthcare organization ExcelHealth Group is dedicated to improving access to quality healthcare services for individuals living in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and assisted living communities.
