Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced hospital environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Collaborate with medical teams to deliver timely interventions and manage a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient needs upon arrival in the emergency department.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any changes in condition promptly.
• Document patient assessments, care provided, and outcomes in Allscripts - Sunrise EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper scrub attire.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with current state certification.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of RN experience in emergency or acute care settings.
• Possess ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
• Demonstrate ability to manage a high-volume ER with complex cases, including trauma and cardiac patients.
• Experience working with Allscripts - Sunrise EMR and Omnicell medication systems preferred.
• Able to work 3x12-hour shifts with a 36-hour guarantee, supporting a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4.
