The Kirby Risk Service Center is a division of Kirby Risk Corporation specializing in the manufacturing of electrical wiring and control panels.

What You’ll Do as a Strategic Sourcing Specialist

In this role, you would be responsible for developing and implementing commodity strategies, including analyzing market trends and identifying, qualifying, and recommending sources of supply.

You’ll:

• Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers
• Monitor and track supplier performance
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure appropriate costs, schedule, quality, payment, and delivery terms.
• Interpret MRP/ERP reports to determine daily purchasing priorities
• Process, review, validate, and distribute completed purchase orders
• Demonstrate professionalism when representing the company in all communications

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management preferred; work experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, or procurement
• Knowledge of manufacturing, quality and production control, and planning processes
• Sourcing and negotiating experience
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

What to Expect in This Role

• On-site, indoors, in a controlled temperature environment, with a variation of noise levels.
• This position will be working in an office environment, utilizing typical office equipment
• Travel occasionally for training, customer visits, or vendor meetings
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift
