Associate General Dentist – Part-Time | Private Practice

We are a small, privately owned three-operatory dental practice looking for a personable and skilled Associate General Dentist to join us two days per week . This position is being created to support the practice owner during pregnancy and maternity leave, with the potential to continue longer term if it is a great fit for everyone.

Our practice offers a relaxed, patient-centered environment where we value quality dentistry, personal relationships, and treating patients like people—not numbers. You will work with a small, supportive team and see one column of patients , allowing you to focus on providing thoughtful, comprehensive care without the pace of a high-volume corporate office.

Schedule & Compensation

The position is two days per week , with scheduling available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and/or Thursdays from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM .

Compensation includes an hourly guarantee for the first three months , transitioning to 30–33% of collections , depending on experience and scope of practice.

What You Will Do

You will provide comprehensive general dentistry while building relationships with an established patient base. Responsibilities include:

• Comprehensive and limited examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning
• Restorative dentistry, crowns, bridges, and removable prosthodontics
• Simple and surgical extractions, bone grafting
• Root canal therapy within your comfort and experience level
• Periodontal care, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and SRP when needed
• Reviewing radiographs and utilizing digital imaging and intraoral scanning
• Providing clear, comfortable patient education and presenting treatment recommendations
• Caring for adult, elderly, and medically complex patients
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and appropriate infection-control standards
• Working collaboratively with our small team to keep the patient experience comfortable and efficient

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for a dentist who is clinically confident, kind, dependable, and comfortable working in a small private-practice environment.

Requirements:

• DDS or DMD with an active Colorado dental license
• Minimum one year of general dentistry experience
• Comfortable providing a broad range of general dental procedures
• Experience with surgical extractions and endodontics
• Comfortable performing routine hygiene and periodontal treatment
• Strong communication and treatment-planning skills
• Commitment to excellent patient care, documentation, infection control, and HIPAA compliance

Experience with Open Dental and DEXIS is preferred but not required. Implant placement experience is a plus, but not required .

Job Type: Part-time / Contract
Schedule: 2 days per week, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
