About the Opportunity
Confidential Search Solutions (CSS) is recruiting an experienced Senior AML/BSA & Fraud Investigations Compliance Manager for a Temp-to-Hire opportunity with a leading payroll, benefits, HR, and financial technology organization in Denver, Colorado.
This is a true AML/BSA, fraud investigations, and financial-crimes role for an experienced professional who can lead complex investigations, strengthen fraud controls, and help protect a growing technology-enabled financial services platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex AML/BSA, fraud, and financial-crimes investigations .
- Investigate account takeover (ATO), identity theft, ACH/payment fraud, wire fraud, suspicious transactions, and emerging fraud schemes .
- Review transaction-monitoring alerts and determine appropriate investigation, escalation, documentation, and potential SAR filings .
- Support KYC, CDD, EDD, OFAC/sanctions, PEP, and high-risk customer reviews .
- Provide leadership and guidance to investigators and ensure high-quality case documentation and resolution.
- Identify fraud trends and recommend improvements to monitoring, investigative processes, and preventive controls.
- Partner across Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, Product, Engineering, and Data .
- Support regulatory examinations, audits, risk assessments, testing, and remediation.
- Help leverage analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve fraud detection and investigative efficiency.
- Communicate significant financial-crime risks, trends, and recommendations to leadership.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of AML/BSA, fraud investigations, financial-crimes, or risk experience within fintech, banking, payments, payroll, or regulated financial services.
- 2+ years of leadership, team lead, supervisory, or mentoring experience .
- Strong knowledge of BSA/AML, FinCEN, SARs, transaction monitoring, KYC/CDD/EDD, OFAC, sanctions, and the USA PATRIOT Act .
- Hands-on experience investigating fraud, suspicious activity, account takeover, identity theft, and ACH/payment transactions .
- Strong investigative writing, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across compliance, risk, operational, and technology teams.
Preferred
CFE and/or CAMS certification is highly desirable.
Experience with regulatory examinations, AML risk assessments, fraud-monitoring platforms, data analytics, automation, AI-enabled compliance tools, or financial-crime technology is a plus.
