RN - Telemetry

Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)This position provides essential nursing care on a high acuity telemetry unit focused on cardiac patients, including those requiring post-stroke rehabilitation.Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients on a telemetry unit.Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret rhythm strips.Provide care for post-CVA patients and those with related conditions such as CHF and respiratory failure.Collaborate with healthcare teams, including hospitalists available 24/7.Administer non-titratable drips, including Cardizem and Heparin.Participate in unit workflow and assist with patient care duties as needed.Respond to standby requests within 30 minutes and comply with cancellation policies.Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in telemetry, stepdown, or PCU settings.Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.Must be stroke certified and possess experience caring for stroke patients.Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends (2 per 4 weeks) and holidays as needed.Must be able to prioritize travel assignments and adhere to a no secondary employment policy during the assignment.Knowledge of Cerner EMR is preferred; candidates with no Cerner experience will undergo additional orientation.The unit is located close to central national parks and various outdoor recreational areas, offering an opportunity for engaging adventures outside of work hours.
