Cisco Voice Deployment Technician

Onsite Indianapolis, Indiana (Contract Position)

Position Responsibilities:

• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco phones as part of onsite deployment projects.
• Perform updates and maintenance within Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Call Manager).
• Provide technical support and configure paging systems, access settings, analog devices, cross-connects, and gateways.
• Support end users with Cisco Jabber and Cisco Unity systems.
• Collaborate directly with deployment technicians and staff during office moves and technology rollouts.
• Guide and assist employees as they transition to new communication technologies.
• Accurately document activities and track progress using ServiceNow.

Essential Skills, Experience

Direct, hands-on experience with Cisco voice/phone deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting. Proficiency with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Call Manager), including system updates and support. Operational knowledge of Cisco Jabber and Cisco Unity, as well as troubleshooting these platforms for end users. Experience supporting and troubleshooting analog devices, gateways, paging/access changes, and cross-connects. Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing/work tracking systems. Strong customer service orientation and top-tier verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively onsite, supporting internal technical teams and engaging directly with users. Technically adept, resourceful, and able to adapt to a dynamic work environment characterized by frequent changes such as office moves and technology upgrades.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a similar telecom technician or voice deployment role. Demonstrated expertise with Cisco technologies including CUCM (Cisco Unified Communications Manager), Cisco Jabber, Cisco Unity, analog/VoIP phones, and related hardware. Prior exposure to enterprise ticketing systems (ServiceNow strongly preferred). High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications such as CCNA Voice, CCNP Collaboration, or relevant Cisco training are a plus. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within fast-paced onsite environments.
