Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical capabilities and challenges.
• Implement individualized treatment plans as developed by the Physical Therapists to enhance patient outcomes through increased mobility, strength, and balance.
• Perform hands-on manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and utilize various modalities to treat patients dealing with musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Provide education and training to patients and their families on home exercise regimens, the use of adaptive equipment, and injury prevention to promote a healthy lifestyle.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment methods, and discharge recommendations, adhering to regulatory guidelines and organizational standards.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay current with industry best practices and advance clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant will primarily work with a diverse range of patients, including individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, and other orthopedic conditions. Qualifications

• Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

Compensation and Benefits
