Executive Finance Succession Opportunity Are you an accomplished financial leader ready to move beyond traditional controllership and prepare for an executive finance role? Korry Electronics is seeking a Controller to serve as a key member of our finance leadership team and a strategic partner to the business. This is a high-impact role intentionally designed as part of our finance succession and leadership-development strategy. Our objective is to develop the successful candidate toward readiness for a Vice President of Finance opportunity within approximately 2–3 years , either at Korry Electronics or another business within our parent company. Progression will be based on demonstrated performance, leadership readiness, organizational needs, and available opportunities. This opportunity is designed for a finance leader who has mastered the fundamentals of controllership and is ready to broaden their impact across financial planning, operational finance, business strategy, transformation, talent development, and executive decision support. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Controller will be a key member of Korry's finance leadership team and will partner closely with senior functional and business leaders across the organization. What You Will Do As Controller, you will be responsible for the integrity of Korry's financial results, the effectiveness of its financial controls, and the quality of financial insight used to run the business. You will lead the accounting and controllership organization while serving as a strategic partner to operational and business leadership. You will help translate business performance into financial outcomes, improve profitability and cash generation, strengthen forecasting and decision-making, and modernize financial processes, systems, and analytics. Success in this role requires the ability to move comfortably between detailed financial analysis and senior-level business discussions while developing the broader enterprise perspective required of a future Vice President of Finance. Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership, Accounting & Controls Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company requirements. Maintain the integrity of financial statements, the general ledger, account reconciliations, reserves, accruals, and significant accounting estimates. Establish, maintain, and continuously improve a strong internal-control environment that safeguards company assets and supports reliable financial reporting. Provide leadership on technical accounting matters, accounting policies, and financial governance. Lead internal and external audit activities and ensure timely resolution of findings and control deficiencies. Maintain appropriate financial controls over inventory, revenue, fixed assets, capital expenditures, and other significant balance-sheet accounts. Financial Planning & Business Performance Lead or play a significant leadership role in the annual operating plan, periodic forecasts, long-range planning, and strategic financial modeling. Partner with business and functional leaders to translate operational plans into financial forecasts, performance targets, risks, and opportunities. Provide rigorous analysis of actual performance versus plan, forecast, and prior year, clearly identifying underlying business drivers. Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic and operational decisions. Provide senior leadership with concise, decision-oriented reporting on revenue, margins, operating expenses, cash flow, working capital, and key business-performance indicators. Manufacturing & Operational Finance Provide financial leadership for manufacturing operations, including standard costing, inventory valuation, overhead allocation, and manufacturing variance analysis. Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and Commercial leadership to understand and improve the financial drivers of business performance. Lead analysis of labor efficiency, material performance, purchase-price variance, overhead absorption, scrap, inventory, productivity, and other key manufacturing cost drivers. Support value engineering, productivity, sourcing, make-versus-buy, and cost-reduction initiatives through disciplined financial analysis. Improve visibility into customer, product, and program profitability to support better commercial and operating decisions. Strategic Business Partnership Serve as a trusted financial advisor to Korry's senior functional and business leaders. Translate complex financial and operational information into clear recommendations for decision-making. Prepare and present business performance, forecasts, risks, opportunities, and strategic analyses to senior leadership. Evaluate business cases, pricing actions, investments, capital expenditures, productivity initiatives, and other significant business decisions. Bring an independent financial perspective to strategic and operational discussions while constructively challenging assumptions when appropriate. Cash Flow, Working Capital & Capital Management Provide leadership and visibility around cash generation and working-capital performance. Partner with operational leaders to improve accounts receivable, inventory, accounts payable, and other working-capital drivers. Support capital planning and prioritization, including financial evaluation of investments and post-investment performance. Help ensure financial resources are deployed toward the highest-value business priorities. Pricing, Contracting & Compliance Support Support pricing, proposal, and contracting activities through sound financial analysis, cost data, assumptions, and business insight. Partner with Contracts, Program Management, Supply Chain, and other subject-matter experts to support applicable customer and government-contract requirements. Help maintain disciplined and supportable estimating, pricing, and cost-accounting practices. Support audits, customer inquiries, and related compliance activities as needed. Prior exposure to FAR, DFARS, CAS, government pricing, or certified cost or pricing data requirements is helpful but not required . Finance Transformation, Systems & Analytics Act as a change leader within Finance, challenging inefficient processes and building scalable, disciplined financial practices. Partner with IT and business stakeholders to automate workflows, improve data quality, and strengthen financial-system capabilities. Advance the use of business intelligence, data warehousing, dashboards, and self-service analytics to improve financial visibility and decision-making. Drive improvements in forecasting, reporting, close, cost accounting, and financial analysis through process redesign and technology. Build repeatable processes that improve speed, accuracy, transparency, and scalability. Leadership & Talent Development Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team. Establish clear performance expectations, accountability, succession plans, and professional-development priorities. Develop the technical, analytical, business-partnering, and leadership capabilities of finance team members. Build strong cross-functional relationships and influence outcomes across the organization. Foster Korry's culture of ownership, transparency, process improvement, trust, and respect. Executive Development Expectations This role is intentionally designed to develop future senior finance leadership. Develop the strategic, commercial, operational, and leadership perspective expected of a Vice President of Finance. Progression to a VP-level role will depend on demonstrated performance, leadership readiness, organizational requirements, and available opportunities within Korry Electronics or our broader parent-company organization. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline. 10+ years of progressively responsible finance and accounting experience. Meaningful finance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience leading a significant controllership, accounting, FP&A, operational-finance, or combined finance organization. Experience managing and developing finance professionals. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and technical accounting. Strong understanding of manufacturing finance and cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory accounting, overhead absorption, and manufacturing variance analysis. Demonstrated experience with forecasting, annual planning, financial modeling, and detailed variance analysis. Strong financial-modeling and business-case-development capabilities. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP and financial-reporting systems. Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior operational and business leaders. Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial leaders. Track record of leading process improvement, transformation, or complex cross-functional initiatives. Demonstrated judgment, integrity, accountability, and ability to operate effectively in a complex business environment. Preferred Qualifications MBA or other relevant advanced degree. CPA, CMA, or similar professional certification. Aerospace, defense, or other complex or highly regulated manufacturing experience. Exposure to government contracting, FAR, DFARS, CAS, government pricing, or certified cost or pricing data requirements. Experience with Power BI, business intelligence, data visualization, or data warehousing. Experience leading ERP, financial-system, automation, or finance-transformation initiatives. Experience with working-capital improvement, capital allocation, and operational productivity initiatives. Experience presenting business performance and recommendations to senior leadership. Salary Range: The typical hiring range for this role is: $175,000 - $225,000 Annual Incentive: This position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus with a 20% target , based on company and individual performance and subject to the terms of Korry's applicable incentive program.
