Storeroom Clerk

Shift: 1st Shift

Pay: $27.69

Job duties include working as a member of the storeroom team, ensuring inventory management excellence, receiving, unpacking, checking, inspecting, shelving, storing, cataloging, and issuing items such as equipment, machinery, parts, and supplies. Additionally, the role involves placing orders for approved inventory items, maintaining stock quantities, monitoring VMI vendors, using appropriate manuals and supply catalogues, inspecting deliveries, maintaining inventory records, ensuring inventory control, driving vehicles to pick up and deliver materials, handling inquiries, meeting compliance requirements, maintaining housekeeping, operating a forklift, and performing duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• Knowledge of storekeeping and inventory methods.
• Some knowledge of terminology used in equipment repair and parts procurement.
• Skill in interpersonal relations and the exercise of good judgment and discretion in order to deal effectively with employees and vendors.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently under time deadlines and pressure.
• Ability to follow written and oral directions.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions given in English.
• Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time.
• Ability to safely and legally operate a forklift.
• Skills to operate common office equipment.
• Demonstrated track record in driving continuous improvement and achieving goals.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience in progressively responsible storeroom procedures and clerical work, some of which involves data entry or any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
• Possess a valid driver's license with a demonstrable safe driving record.

Physical Demands

• Frequently will push, pull, carry, and lift 20 - 50lbs.
• Frequently walking, standing, stretching, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, grasping and repetitive movements.
• Frequently talk, hear, read, write.
• Frequently must be able to work in moderate noise, up to 83 decibels.
• Frequent exposure to dust.
• Exposure to noise environment requiring hearing protection.
• Must be able and willing to work in non-temperature-controlled environment, exposed to weather conditions.
